Out client is a worldwide leader in bulk and break bulk cargo transportation. Since its founding in 1990, They had provided reliable handling of cargo through self-loading/discharging bulk carriers, pneumatic cement carriers, and trans-shippers.
Functieomschrijving
- Process requisitions received in accordance with company procedures.
- Monitor vessels’ schedules and provide timely status updates of each requisition and the delivery status to vessels and relevant stakeholders.
- Confer with vendors to obtain product or service information such as price, availability, and delivery schedule.
- Review all Purchase orders, requisitions and quotes for applicability, correctness, compliance.
- Research and select suppliers, review bid proposals, negotiate contracts within budgetary limitations and scope of authority, execute agreements
- Determine the most cost-effective means of supply at various ports and capable of pro-active planning by taking into consideration the urgency of the spares and next feasible location for the delivery of the spares.
- Track orders and ensures orders are delivered on time and at cost
- Work closely with logistics groups to ensure on-time receipt and delivery of shipments; arranges for transportation and/or storage of purchased products
Profiel
- Least 3 years related experience in a field such as Purchasing, Sourcing, Logistics, or other Supply Chain role.
- Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and complete tasks with efficiency and accuracy
- Ability to work under pressure, both individually and in a team environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Negotiation skills
- Problem solving, organizational, and time management skills
- Ability to think creatively and find solutions to issues
- Adaptable to growth and continually evolving requirements
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is preferred
