About the role on offer

The Procurement Analyst-Vendor Management Specialist, is responsible for integrated Procurement Analytical and Governance management for the purchasing department.Specifically the specialist role includes but is not limited to ensuring comprehensive purchasing data and purchasing business system management and the control and coordination for Supply Chain governance.

With good critical thinking skills, this specialist who are also known as purchasing analysts, evaluate vendors and suppliers based on the speed of delivery, quality, and price. You will use quantitative methods to support fact-based decision-making to become competitive and to ensure cost-efficiency and high quality of the products and.

Amongst others, your main tasks are:

  • Develop business systems to improve accessibility to critical procurement data.
  • Manage weekly/monthly report analysis on spend metrics (Expedite Register, OTIF etc.)
  • Manage and interpret monthly Procurement Dashboard reporting
  • The position will be expected to handle a significant amount of data which provide fundamental support to Strategic Purchasers as they develop, execute and manage sourcing strategies
  • Assist in the development of cost models, data collection and measurements to provide supplier performance and services
  • The position will ensure Strategic Purchasers receive summaries of key data collected and insights gained from analysis completed
  • Custodian of Internal and External Purchasing Auditing (Governance)
  • Checking and processing invoices from suppliers.

MRP

  • MRP requirements analysis, monitoring and inventory level management
  • Manage, negotiate and source MRO products and services, for building, machinery and grounds maintenance.
  • Monitor and adjust MRP parts policy report on a regular basis.
  • Minimize production shortages through buying to MRP needs and tactical review of demand.
  • Item Master Standard Management and Control
  • Facilitate a standardized process for Item Management (Item Management Standard & Procedure)
  • Lead a software implementation process and training program for company’s MRP

Vendor Management

  • Assist in the development of cost models, data collection and measurements to provide supplier performance and services
  • Manage supplier database for accurate price and commodity disposition status.
  • Vendor Audit Process coordination and reporting
  • Vendor Master Data Management
  • The position will be expected to communicate primarily with internal stakeholders, but will also have discussions with external suppliers and 3rd party (e.g., consultants, industry organizations)
  • Determine/develop technical specifications/requirements through collaboration with internal customers
  • co-drafting of the Purchasing strategic multi-year plan and the operational Purchasing annual plan
  • Continuous improvement of purchasing related processes.

Your profile

For this position, Sulzer would like to get in touch with candidates owning a Bachelor’s degree in a commercial or technical direction completed with a procurement training such as NEVI, Inkoop Academie or Conducto. You have a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in purchasing direct goods and/or services. In addition, you bring advanced knowledge of Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of turbines, metalworking and/ or surface processing is desirable, but not a requirement. As a personen you are persistent, can easeliy switch between details and have a helicopter view. You have some technical knowledge and are conscientious, motivated and ambitious. Furthermore you are an entrepreneurial, a clear.
