Job Description
Main responsibilities:
- Lead global projects to optimize and rationalize the global spend of the Group, with focus on strategic product families
- Oversee all aspects of projects including the coordination of other internal stakeholders (e.g. Marketing Dept, Technical dept, etc.)
- Monitor and summarize the progress of the project preparing status reports
- Collect purchasing data from the Group’s countries, analyze the spend and collaborate with the Marketing and Technical Dept to define product families, subfamilies and applications
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify new potential sources in cooperation with Technical Dept
- Negotiate with the suppliers and define supply contract agreement
- Implement improvements within Global Purchasing Organization. These implementations will range from measuring KPIs to process improvements to the implementation of new software tools
Objectives of the position:
- Lead and drive Purchasing improvements within the given time & budget, ensuring a proper quality
- Identify improvement, drive changes and leverage opportunities within the Global Purchasing function and translate into concrete action plans
- Develop deep knowledge of suppliers and products
- Support creating a culture of cooperation and learning from each other
- Promote ethical management of the business, in full compliance with existing laws and regulations, as well as with Group’s procedures
- Reporting line: to the Division Purchasing Manager
The Successful Applicant
Key competencies:
- Experience with executing projects, preferably multidisciplinary projects, and coordinating international teams
- Experience with creating project plans for international projects (time, budget, resource, dependencies etc.)
- Understanding of the Purchasing dynamics within a global organization
- Relevant educational background (Masters’s degree in Economics or Engineering is preferred)
- Open to working with different cultures
- Strong analytical and decision-making skills
- Drive to search for information and potential solutions in different sources
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Negotiation skills
- Fluency in the English language is mandatory; any other languages are considered a plus
- Knowledge of Products (hydraulics, lubrication) is a plus; dedicated training on products will be provided in any case
Requirements:
- At least a bachelor in Management, Economics or Engineering
- Minimum 2+ years of experience participating in projects within international organizations
- Experience as a buyer / purchaser is a plus
- Experience within industrial organizations is preferred
- Experience in coordinating remote teams
