As a Senior Buyer Animal Nutrition & Health (ANH) you will lead cross-functional teams in developing and implementing purchasing strategy for categories of direct materials which belong to the responsibility of the buyer as to deliver maximized Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) savings for these categories in corporation with dsm-firmenich Global Purchasing. You will identify and mitigate business risks caused by single source positions and changes in market dynamics, next to create maximal possibilities in implementing the Business Group strategy.

Your mission
- To act as coordinator for the Purchasing team;
- Develop and implement purchasing activities for Site-specific categories;
- Developing and implementing purchasing strategy for categories of direct materials;
- Develop, implement, and manage a cost effective and efficient organization of the Purchasing discipline in Stroe and Deinze (B), and install clear governance including structures and working processes;
- Formulate, get approval, and manage the yearly cost budget for the Purchasing plan;
- Ensure to have the right finances available;
- Manage relationships / partnerships with internal customers;
- Develop and manage relationships with suppliers and track their performance;
- Contract Manager role for BG-specific categories: implement contract and ensure contract compliance;
- Closely monitor internal customers’ contract compliance; define and take approved corrective actions to improve contract compliance.

- Based on your experience we will offer you a base salary of € 54,046 to € 77,208 per year (including holiday allowance and 13th month) and extra benefits, such as 25 holiday days, a bonus, the option to buy more holiday days with a 6% my choice budget and much more.
You bring
- Minimum 3-5 years of purchasing experience as a Buyer;
- Higher Education, preferred in business administration, commerce, engineering, technical background & understanding would be an advantage;
- Strong negotiation and contracting skills;
- Result orientation and hands-on mentality;
- Project and Change Management skills as well as a team player attitude;
- Strong oral and written communication skills, strong stakeholder management skills;
- Fluency in English and Dutch.
