Functie
- Support the Assortment & Display Planner in the definition of the Category strategy
- Definition and delivery of Category plans that support agreed corporate financial targets
- Overseeing the impact of marketing strategies to ensure that pricing and promotional actions are delivered
- Develop exit strategies for ineffective, discontinued products
- Increase sales and profit through the development of product assortments which meet consumer needs
- Develop mutually beneficial relationships with vendors to achieve better pricing and quality of service
- You will make regular visits to our stores/customers, to ensure the reality matches the plan and to help identify issues and opportunities in the “real world”
- You will conduct regular competitor visits to help you maintain your understanding of developments in both your category and the wider retail/wholesale industry
Profiel
- 3+ years of experience within a Category Management role in an equivalent retailer/wholesaler
- Excellent negotiation skills and commercial acumen
- Ability to identify and articulate business opportunities
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, influence and build relationships effectively at all levels
- Strong personal organization, self-motivated & ability to work to deadlines and under pressure
- 100% fluent in Dutch and English.
