Job Description
To support the growth of our business lines, we would like to expand our Purchasing team NL and are looking for a Strategic Purchaser. In this role you will be reporting into the Head of Purchasing NL and be responsible for;
- Serving as a Procurement business partner. Managing the purchasing portfolio, developing strategies, and leading the sourcing process of a specific business line(s) and/or specific categories. This in close coordination with local business representatives and Group Category Managers.
- Managing a portfolio consisting out of external spend on lab consumables, indirect goods and services, and CapEx investments. Final scope depending on your experience and preferences.
- Effectively partner with key business stakeholders to understand the business requirements, align on strategies and drive sourcing initiatives.
- Driving rationalization of equipment, consumables, services and supplier base, liaising with internal stakeholders.
- Delivering on key (financial) targets; cost reductions and value creation.
Location of the position
- At the National Service Center (NSC) headquarters in Oosterhout (NB).
- At the key-sites in Netherlands
- Ability to work from home
Qualifications
- BSc/ MSc degree in Economics, Supply Chain Management, Procurement or other relevant discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5+ years’ experience in Procurement
- Since we have high valued CapEx projects upcoming, relevant experiences on procurement of CapEx, building services, etcetera are a plus.
- Fluent in both Dutch and English.
- Strong analytical and data management skills for data driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills
- Hands-on attitude and drive for results
- Able to build effective relationships, engaging with stakeholders across the different business lines and functions.
- Continuous improvement mindset
