About Our Client
The client is a family business that imports and exports a wide range of assortment of exotic foods. They are a manufacturer, importer and distributor of different brands. They have a strong passion for food and customer oriented way of working. They are rapidly growing in the last few years and thus, they are in need of a tactical buyer to support their purchasing team.
Job Description
- You will be responsible for negotiations and agreements in the field of prices and availability as well as the timely delivery of products
- You will develop plans to reduce procurement costs and improve quality to optimise delivery reliability
- You will conclude framework contracts and follow and discuss developments in the market with them
- You will recognise trends and new products at an early stage
- You will monitor the stock of products for which you are responsible
- In close collaboration with QA, you will ensure that all supplier and ingredient documentation is correctly documents in accordance with the quality team
The Successful Applicant
- You have relevant experience as a Tactical Buyer, preferably in FMCG/Food industry
- You have growth potential and motivation to further develop in your career
- You have strong communication skills
- You have a relevant education or NEVI course
- You are fluent in English and Dutch
