Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source and procure mechanical and electrical components, machinery, and technical materials.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier performance in terms of quality, pricing, lead time, and reliability.
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings, datasheets, and engineering documentation to determine procurement needs.
  • Develop and maintain strategic relationships with suppliers and vendors.
  • Negotiate favorable pricing, contracts, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain purchasing records including vendor data, pricing history, order tracking, and compliance documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, R&D, production, and quality assurance to align on technical specifications and sourcing strategies.
  • Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supply chain optimization, and risk mitigation.
  • Ensure all purchases comply with company policies, industry regulations, and sustainability goals.

Your Profile

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field.
  • Minimum 1+ years of experience in technical procurement or a buying role within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
  • Solid knowledge of mechanical and electrical components, tools, and production materials.
  • Familiarity with reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and product specifications.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and MS Office Suite; knowledge of SAP or similar platforms is a plus.
  • Analytical thinking with strong organizational and multitasking capabilities.
