About Scylla

Since 1973, Scylla AG has been sailing through Europe’s iconic rivers, crafting luxury cruise experiences with precision, innovation, and care. With 44 vessels in operation and a passionate crew of over 2,000, we’re not just navigating waterways we’re shaping journeys.

As part of our retail transformation, we are strengthening our Procurement team. We’re looking for an Operational-Tactical Buyer who can translate market trends into a strong boutique assortment, combining strategic procurement with hands-on coordination across our fleet.

Your Mission on Board and Ashore

As Operational-Tactical Buyer, you manage the full product lifecycle of our onboard boutiques from sourcing and procurement to category management and product phase-outs. You’re a key connector between vendors, vessels, and commercial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage a commercially effective, trend-aware assortment aligned with the onboard customer profile
  • Handle procurement processes: sourcing, ordering, pricing, stock level monitoring, and logistics coordination
  • Analyze sales and inventory data to optimize product availability, minimize overstocks, and identify growth opportunities
  • Coordinate with onboard staff and the Retail Operations Coordinator to ensure successful product presentation and performance
  • Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships
  • Contribute to the visual presentation and seasonal theme development in the boutiques

Your Profile

  • A bachelor’s degree (HBO level or equivalent), ideally in business, retail, procurement, or supply chain
  • Demonstrated experience in retail buying, category management, or procurement
  • A sharp commercial instinct with a hands-on, data-informed mindset
  • Strong analytical skills and a structured way of working
  • Excellent communicator and cross-functional collaborator
  • Fluent in English (German is a plus)
  • Proficient in MS Office and comfortable working with procurement or inventory systems

What You’ll Get from Us

  • A central role in a niche market with strong growth and international flair
  • Room to shape and implement strategy while staying connected to daily operations
  • A warm company culture with short lines and real impact
  • A long-term position in a financially sound and forward-thinking organization
  • The chance to see the results of your work on board and occasionally set sail yourself
