A typical workday may include processing purchase quotes and orders, and digitally recording documents in the ERP system. You will maintain contact with suppliers, monitor delivery times, and negotiate the best terms. You are assertive and have strong communication skills. You will work closely with colleagues from Work Preparation.
Responsibilities
- Placing orders and monitoring progress, including close coordination with the receipt of items;
- Digitally recording documents, agreements, and purchasing data (e.g., in ERP systems), and contributing to standardization;
- Maintaining contact with (potential) suppliers for order advice, requesting quotes, and placing orders;
- Ensuring timely and complete procurement of materials and components according to customer specifications, at the most favorable rate;
- Registering, checking, and approving purchase invoices, and coordinating with suppliers about discrepancies if necessary;
- Managing and maintaining inventory levels, with special attention to materials with longer lead times;
- Identifying market developments and maintaining supplier relationships, including selection and evaluation.

You are capable of working in a multidisciplinary environment and have a flexible attitude that allows you to effortlessly adapt to the needs of the team and the situation. With your proactive and hands-on mentality, you ensure that tasks are completed efficiently. Additionally, you possess:
- A completed MBO4/HBO diploma (Purchaser of supplier articles/standard parts) or you have acquired this level through work experience, possibly supplemented with relevant NEVI courses (NEVI-MIL or NEVI 1);
- Material and component knowledge of mechanical equipment, hydraulics, control technology, and electrical engineering;
- Several years of experience in a technical procurement role is a plus;
- Knowledge of modern procurement techniques and principles;
- Basic knowledge of 3D design software to read drawings for the procurement process;
- Proficiency in Dutch and English, both spoken and written;
- Knowledge of digital working, such as ERP systems;
- Knowledge of cost price calculations.
