
Senior Logistics Procurement Manager – Chinese Speaking

This role is critical in optimizing our line-haul and last-mile trucking partnerships, ensuring service excellence, cost efficiency, and scalability across JD Logistics’ B2B delivery operations. The ideal candidate will bring a strong track record in logistics procurement, vendor management, and contract negotiations within the trucking and transportation sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy & Execution
- Develop and execute procurement strategies for B2B truck delivery services across multiple regions.
- Identify, evaluate, and onboard trucking partners to support JD Logistics’ expanding B2B delivery network.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing models, and service-level agreements (SLAs) with carriers and transport providers.
- Vendor & Partner Management
- Build long-term, strategic relationships with key trucking service providers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and drive continuous improvement in delivery efficiency, cost, and service quality.
- Resolve escalated vendor issues, ensuring compliance with JD Logistics’ standards.
- Cost & Efficiency Optimization
- Lead cost-analysis initiatives to identify savings opportunities without compromising service quality.
- Implement procurement best practices to optimize total cost of ownership in truck delivery.
- Collaborate with operations and finance teams to forecast demand, set budgets, and monitor spend.
- Market Development & Innovation
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory developments, and innovations in trucking and logistics.
- Develop alternative sourcing strategies to mitigate risks in capacity shortages, fuel price fluctuations, and regulatory constraints.
- Support the development of digital procurement tools and platforms to enhance visibility and efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with operations, sales, product, and technology teams to align procurement strategy with business needs.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership on network optimization and carrier development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business, or related field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in logistics procurement, transportation sourcing, or supply chain management, with a focus on trucking.
- Proven expertise in B2B delivery procurement and vendor development.
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and cost analysis skills.
- Solid understanding of trucking regulations, freight pricing structures, and market dynamics.
- Experience managing large-scale vendor networks across multiple regions.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and leadership abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in procurement/ERP systems.
- Fluency in English and Mandarin is highly preferred (for JD Logistics’ global/regional collaboration).
