Sourcing Manager IT

In this role, you will be responsible for leading IT sourcing activities for our Dutch retail brands, developing and executing sourcing strategies, managing vendor relationships, and driving cost optimization while ensuring quality, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. You will report to the Manager Regional Tech Sourcing NL, and collaborate closely with stakeholders across Tech and business functions. The objective is to establish and execute sourcing strategies that deliver cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure contractual compliance across all technology categories.

- Assignment duration: 6 months with an option to extend
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze current technology spend and identify sourcing opportunities.
- Develop and implement sourcing strategies for key IT categories.
- Lead RFP/RFI processes and supplier evaluations.
- Negotiate commercial and contractual terms with vendors.
- Collaborate with legal, security and IT teams to finalize agreements.
- Perform contract renewals and renegotiations.
- Provide market insights and benchmarking to support decision-making.
Expected Results:
- Realized cost savings and improved value through strategic sourcing.
- Optimized supplier base with improved contractual terms.
- Improved vendor performance and risk mitigation.
The assignment is considered complete when: (key) sourcing initiatives and renewals during the term of the assignment have been executed and documented. Extension of the assignment is possible depending on the progress of sourcing initiatives and upcoming contract cycles.
Required Experience & Skills:
- 8+ years of experience in IT procurement, sourcing.
- Experience in Sourcing IT categories such as software, hardware, cloud services, and consultancy.
- Knowledge of procurement best practices, legal frameworks, and Financial budgeting .
- Strong negotiation and contracting skills ( knowledge of contract constructs, terms & conditions, etc.)
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. influencing without authority, and formulating and carrying out (non-)financial business cases
- Fluent in Business English required; Dutch language work proficiency is also required. Currently living and working in The Netherlands.
